About Us
As my fascination for these aromas and food grew stronger, in 2011 I made a venture to San Francisco where I attended culinary school and trekked on an 8-year culinary career. Being from California, I learned how important it was to feature local, farm-to-table ingredients on your menus.
I left the culinary industry but I still had an itch to be a part of it. While shopping for dinner ingredients at a market, it dawned on me that I had no clue where their spices came from, when it was ground, and how long it was sitting on the shelf. Upon further research, I learned there was a gap in the spice supply chain and it instantly sparked the idea of Central Valley Spice Co. I wanted to source and provide freshly grown and ground herb and spices for cooks of all levels.
As I embark on this new adventure to source and supply fresh herbs and spices, I hope to create new connections and partnerships with farmers across the world. I want to help be a part of providing a better spice supply chain, as well as educating consumers on where your spices come from and how to use them.
