Our Smoked Hot Spanish Paprika hails from the La Vera county in Extremadura, western Spain. The Pimentón is native to the region. In fact, it has achieved a “Protected Denomination of Origin” status which is a compliance of a certain product having a high standard from the specific region of where that product is from. Similar to how Champagne can only be Champagne if it’s from the Champagne region of France. Pimentón de la Vera, can only be from its specific region in Spain.
This paprika is bright red and bold with flavor. It packs a nice punch with heat, but isn’t overwhelmingly hot. It’s perfect for meats, stews, paella, deviled eggs, and so much more!
